Elephant Crossing

Drive slowly (speed limit 40 kph) along Hwange roads and it is not uncommon to see elephant crossing the road. Hwange is known for its elephant population, with many ongoing arguments about just how big a population the park can support. Elephants are highly destructive of their habitat, requiring a large area in which to move.
