Hwange National Park is situated in South western Zimbabwe, accessible from the main road between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. The park is well known for its elephant population, which includes the President?s herd.
The Zimbabwe National Parks Department provides accomodation inside the park ranging from campsites to basic, but comfortable, lodges. A number of hotels and private safari operations also provide luxury accomodation outside the park boundaries.
Hwange is well worth a week's visit. Main activity is game viewing, with plentiful wildlife in addition to the elephant.
