Top of the Kariba Forest

The Kariba area is largely woodland of various types. When Lake Kariba filled up, large areas of trees were flooded. Over 40+ years these have petrified, to the extent that they are hard enough to penetrate a steel boat hull. Their weird twisted shapes are a common site all over Lake Kariba.
