Nyanga (originally Inyanga) is Zimbabwe‘s mountain retreat situated in the east of the country. This very scenic area boasts many mountain streams and interesting pathways at the base of Zimbabwe‘s highest mountain, Mount Inyangani. A number of the streams have been dammed, and a trout hatchery established below the Mare Dam. Many of the dams have established lodges, and there are a number of hotels in the area, as well as many private cottages.
